Mahara E-Portfolio system was demonstrated at ULearn. It is an open source e-portfolio system and a learner driven collectionof digital content.
It is free open source software.I talked to a person whose school uses it and they are really pleased with the results. I haven't had time to loook in depth yet, but here is their web address if anyone is interested: www.mahara.org
